Fun with friends

Ash got to hang out with Katie and Chip on Saturday -- very fun!

Comfy

Asher enjoys laying on mommy's yoga sheepskin -- its a great, soft place to play for a bit.

Crib Time

For our convenience, Ash is still sleeping in a crib in our room at night. As you can see, he hates the arrangement.

Grandpa's Arms

Grandma and Grandpa J joined us at Grandma and Grandpa F's house earlier this week. Thanks for a nice dinner, Grandma F!

Boppy Time

Mom got this great pic while Asher was spending some tummy time on his Boppy. He's growing and developing, playing more games, starting to notice toys and -- THANK GOD -- sleeping more regularly at night.

He's a good kid. We're lucky. We know it.

Four Generations

If four generations of J. men in one picture doesn't scare you just a little bit, I don't know what will!

Actually, Ash had a very nice visit with Grandma and Grandpa J., along with Great-Grandpa J. and Verna.

Quiet Time

According to the pediatrician, Ash is now 13 pounds 8 ounces -- in the 90th percentile for weight! All that growing can make a guy pretty tired.

Playing Games

Asher is one fun little kid. His smiles are becoming more regular, and he is now more responsive to "games" by mom and dad. Really cool . . .

Moby Wrap

The ring slings just weren't Asher's taste, for some reason. We think he felt cramped. But, we've switched to a moby wrap and he LOVES it.

From our perspective, its basically a long piece of fabric you tie around you in different ways to give him different holds.

From his perspective, its an automatic nap. Awesome.

Expressive Boy

Sleep! Glorious Sleep!

Asher has slept well at night for the past three nights! Hooray! I'm sure this post will jinx it and we'll be up all night tonight, but I just had to brag (since I have the energy to brag!).

P.S. I know the pictures are totally unrelated to sleep. But they're cute. That's something, at least.

P.P.S. That's a 6-month old outfit he's wearing -- Yikes!

New Skill -- He Grins

Previously when Ash made "smile-like" faces we could safely assume it was gas. But, he's started giving us very genuine grins. They are short and VERY tough to photograph -- they only last a second. Of course, then mom and dad dance around like fools for 15 minutes trying to get him to give us another one.

Anyway, they're real grins now, and they make us feel GREAT. Hopefully I'll have an even better smile picture soon.

Ash Likes "Aunt" Erin

Mom's best friend Erin was in town and got to visit -- Ash looks pretty comfortable with her, I think.

A note to Ash's admirers: Sorry about the delay between posts. Life's been crazy. Dad'll try harder.
