Perfect Day (Part II)

As promised, here are the rest of the shots from Sunday.

By the way, Tooth #2 arrived on Sunday. Two down, eighteen or so to go. The drool continues......

Perfect Day (Part I)

On Sunday we had a high of 80 and sunny, so most of the day was in the pleasant 70s. We got some great outdoor time, which Asher loves. Here are a few of the pictures, I'll stick a few more up mid-week.

Asher Speaks (no, not really)

"But I'm such a good boy, I should definitely be allowed to grab the dog. Please???"

Book-aholic

Ash has been a book-junkie from day one. Favorites include "But not the hippopotomus," "There's a wocket in my pocket," "Hippos go berzerk," and "Mr. Brown can moo, can you?"

[And yes, the picture above is staged. He's not reading alone . . . quite yet. But we're not above props here. Anything for the shot.]

He's GROWING

Ash is officially in 12-month clothes now. See that big tub of clothes behind him? That's the lot that don't fit anymore....

The cradle that seemed so huge at first? Now filled wall-to-wall . . .


He's looking uncomfortable in his bouncy seat -- we'll have to get the high chair in the next few weeks:

And his infant car seat has officially been retired. The picture below is one of his last sits in it -- we had to go buy a (much larger) "convertible" seat last weekend.

He'll have a 33-inch inseam by next week, I swear. Amazing.

Pumpkin Hunting

We went to a pumpkin patch with some friends this morning. There was a hay ride,

and some playing in the pumpkins . . .




Ash is EXHAUSTED now, but we all had fun!

One-Third of a Year Already!

Ash is now 16 weeks old! ("4 months" for those readers who don't have kids and therefore do not naturally count time in weeks.)

Uncomfortable Baby

The teething process is rough. Seriously rough. As mentioned below, Ash got his first tooth last week. Since then he's been very uncomfortable because there are several more close behind that first one.

Sleeping worse.
Napping less.
Clingy.
and DROOL. Oh, the drool.

I don't have any great pictures to share, but some news:

1. Asher got his first tooth through yesterday. We thought he'd been teething; his sleep patterns had been erratic, his mood cranky, and his drool outrageous. Yesterday the first one poked through, and several more seem to be close behind. Hooray!

2. Mom and Ash went to the Dr's for a checkup. He's approx. 26 inches long and 18 pounds -- the 95 percentiles for weight and height. What a monster. No more checkups needed now until his first birthday . . . All healthy, all clear.
